"A study, involving hundreds of American children, showed that the more a child was spanked, the lower his or her IQ compared with those of others, reported MSNBC.com. "

I was reading the papers and i came across this. Like how "ridiculous" this can be. But anyway, they have done their research, they have professional supervision, so what's there for us to doubt.

"The researchers tested the kids' IQs initially and then four years later. "

And how reliable this information can be? Like me, you must be wondering too...

"The results, said Professor Straus, were statistically significant. And they held even after accounting for parental education, income, cognitive stimulation by parents and other factors that could affect children's mental abilities. "

Like we parents doesn't enjoy spanking our kids as well. But the problem is, sometimes or most of the time, only by spanking them, den they will understand how serious the matter is. And how serious we meant by saying "NO!". Really! Till one day when you become parent, you will know. Even if you scream until your throat burst they will still ignore and continue with their mischief. But once you spank them, they will stop immediately. I wont say they wont dare to do it again, but at least few times more, they will know what we meant by "NO!".

Like Jayr, he loves to open my kitchen cabinets and mess up the cans and dried goods. And den of cuz, i beat him on his palm or tight. But now, i only have to raise my voice a little and den say, "no no!.... keep!..... close!". Den he would hurry and start to put back the things and close the cabinets' door and den clap his hands and praise himself "good boy" and den run to the living room and pretend to be a good boy. *roll eyes*

Really! Little spanking is necessary one. But of cuz i wont slap him or pinch him or anything overboard la. I think the least respect for your kids is to not to SLAP their face.

The best way to teach or coach your kiddos is to praise them more. Even small little things, and it will make them happy and remember for a long time. I believe via this method, they will learn better. Like learning under a happy environment rather den a angry and stressful one. If you always yell at them or expect too high, they wont seem to do any better. Because they will feel stressful and kind of frighten-ness whenever its time for learning or study. Soon they will hate study. They will give up on it and give up on being a good boy/girl. Like, what's the point of being a good kid when mummy and daddy doesn't seem to be impressed at all.

I dunno. Everyone has their own ways on kids. Im just sharing.

Like both hubby and i will praise him when he done something right or impressive. We will scold him or beat him when he refused to obey. There are time to be angel and time to be devil. Just have to balance it well.
Too angelic - he/she will lack of discipline.
Too nasty - raise a unhappy OR defiance kid.

Anyway, hubby said its time to send Jayr to school.
Ya SCHOOL.

Im not talking about child care. Like you pay 3 digits and den put your child there to rot whole day. Might as well stay at home and i play with him and teach him.

Like this age, what can i enrol him for? Playgroup? Or dance and drama? or what?

Maybe i should go google about it and see whats best for kids like him.

Hubby was like saying send him for the whole day one, and den i was telling him i wan him to learn, not to go there eat sleep play. Like that might as well stay at home, and save the money.

LEARN!!!

So now, im going to google about it.

p/s: it aint easy to put Jayr away from me for hours. Like i believe some mothers will understand the kind of feeling. Especially those stay at home mums. And den like why not you tell me ur experience? Besides feeling worried and nervous for your kid on the first day of school, what else did you feel? The 一點點捨不得 right? Like wow, my child has grown up. No longer the cuddly baby that always want you to carry. But thats what all mothers have to go thru. The tiny bits of sadness is there. 捨不得看他們那麼快長大. Wow, like too fast for us to catch up. hahaha. well, i still have to cope with this emotional thingy. Im too 感情用事。 whatever. Jayr is my biggest LOVE. The one that been thru all lows and highs moments with me. Never leave me in lurch.
i think when he gets married i will be crying like a mad old woman. LOL!
